  1. Allowance – An allowance of one foot per board may be kept for fixing the fencing posts. Generally available in heights ranging from 3 ft to 6 ft and with a standard width of six feet; the traditional fence panels suit the required needs of the clients.
  2. Length – The fencing posts to be fixed must bear a length of approx two feet more than the actual height of the fence (it must include the gravel board if it is to be used).
  3. Grounding – A grounding of approx two feet with concrete down deep into the ground is a must. It enables the fence to become strong enough to challenge the harming features due to any reason.
  4. Remove hindrances – The fencing posts should always be on the side of the boundary. Plants, vegetation or stones etc must be got removed before fixing the fencing posts.
  5. First Post Mounting – The first post must be fixed upright and in accurate manners as it is the starting point. It must be attached in secure manners and attached tightly to the building with sleeve anchors. The latter must be inserted directly into the brickwork instead of fixing them into the mortar. Distance between the sleeve anchors must be less than two feet. Holes in the post must be drilled first by allowing a small clearance over the shank diameter of the anchor bolt. Inserting some sort of packing between the wall and the post is preferred. The post must be bolted in strong manners. Fencing posts fixed in open ground must be upright and perpendicular to the ground.
  6. Use of Concrete – Use of post borer or a grafter is recommended for digging holes for fixing the posts. The base of the hole must be packed with broken bricks or stone hardcore for providing initial support to the post procured from prominent companies including Grangewood fence Posts. Use of wooden braces, spirit level and squares etc is recommended for providing extra support to the fencing post that you intend to install. Rainwater can be kept at great distance by angling the concrete away from the post.
  7. Secure the Fence Panel and the Gravel board – These two must also be secured in even manners for making the entire task a foolproof one.

h. Creation of a fence on slope – Sloping fence can be created by cutting the PVC gravel board to shape. It can be done by using standard cutting tools to facilitate a terrace effect. One may require longer fence posts to accommodate for the stepped panels. The change may be spread evenly over the fence run for facilitating a convenient and artistic finish.

The above few steps can go a long way in fixing the fencing posts in feasible and secure manners. They can be made more durable and sturdy enough to challenge the inclement weathers and other harmful aspects.
